The Houston Private Equity Association (HPEA) is an association that represents the private equity community in the Greater Houston area. It is a member-based organization, whose membership consists of managers of pools of risk equity capital and equity-linked capital invested, or designated for investment, in venture capital, mezzanine, buy-outs, and other private equity transactions. Currently the HPEA represents over 50 member firms, which is a significant portion of the venture capital and private equity firms doing business in the Greater Houston area.

HPEA's primary mission is to provide a forum for discussion of private equity transactions and industry matters. HPEA's mission is also to provide professional development for its members through its events; support high standards of conduct within the Association; and support venture capital formation in the local community.
